Dear Customers, Partners and Friends of the Congress Center Basel,
As a result of our increasingly international orientation, the Congress Center Basel was able to achieve the best result in its history in 2011 and further reinforce its market position.
The year 2012 has similarly got off to an impressive start: to mark the new year, we able to host the Subaru New Year's Conference and confirm our flexibility as a location for events featuring large-sized objects.
After a three-month interruption to the building work – to allow the big exhibitions of Swissbau and BASELWORLD to be held – the second and final main construction phase is now starting for the new buildings at Messe Basel.
Let us take a look back at 100 days of Käfer Schweiz: with IGEHO, Swissbau and BASELWORLD, Käfer Schweiz has now looked after three of our biggest exhibitions from the catering angle.
Over the past few weeks, we have been working intensively on a new website and are delighted to be able to present the following additional topics to you today in our new web environment:
From 12 to 15 May, Basel will be living up to its reputation as an international congress city once again: a further major European conference is being staged at the Conference Center Basel with ECTES 2012.
International congresses of this type are frequently initiated or organised by professors at the University of Basel. In future, even more intensive use is to be made of the synergies between the University and the Congress Center Basel.
A warm welcome to the Congress Center Basel: on 1 January 2012, Regula Tschopp joined the Congresses and Events team as a project manager, succeeding Daniela Stohler, who will be taking her well-earned retirement midway through the year.
