EACS

15 January 2020

Dear Customers, Partners and Friends of the CCB,

Around 10,000 people are currently making their way into and out of at the Congress Center Basel (CCB). They are holding discussions on peace (Basel Peace Forum), infectious diseases (Digitalization and Infectious Diseases), lighting engineering (Swiss Lighting Forum), the future of medicine (Future Health Basel) and security (the SECURITY Congress) – and that’s just our congress schedule for January 2020! This also includes Swissbau Focus, the event and networking platform for the Swissbau construction trade fair that is being staged from 14 to 18 January.

Basel not only stands for culture and history, life sciences, carnival and Basel football club but is also an internationally important congress city. Guests from all over the world visit our Congress Center and hence our city – and many are delighted to come back again.

We at the CCB are incredibly proud to be contributing to this added value and look forward to an exciting and varied congress year for 2020.

On this note, I trust that the New Year has started well for you and wish you an enjoyable read of our Newsletter.

Congresses in 2020: an outlook

The CCB calendar once again boasts numerous exciting congresses, meetings and symposia. Many events are now firm fixtures in Basel and others are celebrating their premieres.

Future Health

Switzerland’s leading platform for the healthcare industry is being staged for the third time at the end of January and will be coming to Basel this year.

More room – more options

With the advent of the new year, new perspectives are opening up for customers of the CCB with the Lounge in the exhibition tower building. At the same time, registration and ticketing have been raised to a new level.

Fighting AIDS together

The EACS Congress in November 2019 marked a further major event at the CCB. Over a period of four days, around 3250 experts looked into the latest findings on HIV and AIDS.
