Participants have the option of being physically present at one or more of the venues or can visit the events online. “It is fair to say that this is the most important platform for all those working in the exhibition sector”, says Jonas Scharf, Managing Director Venues MCH Group. “Because everyone who is anyone in our industry meets up here.”
For the newly formed sales team of the CCB, Messe Basel and Messe Zürich, acquiring this event for Basel from 18 to 20 November 2020 thus represents a considerable success. “Whether the visitors are physically present or only participating on a virtual basis, the main thing is that they come into contact with our city”, says Scharf. “Because they are ultimately the ones who decide where future trade fairs will be held.” And, by the way, the motto for this year’s conference is “Resilience” – a topic with which all representatives of the industry have no doubt been confronted over the past few months. They now have the opportunity to discuss matters together and perhaps even to learn from one another.
