As a general rule, the most important aspects of the events staged in the Congress Center Basel (CCB) are held in the large plenary halls. It would, however, be wrong to underestimate the importance of the much smaller "nooks and crannies" that are provided as settings for socialising and networking, or where individuals can simply take time out. With comfortable, high-grade seats from Intertime ("made in Switzerland" from A to Z), the new lounge on the second floor is an appealing venue for participants to spend time. Not only is it an excellent place for topping up "biological" batteries – those in mobile phones can be recharged too, using the 100% green electricity from our supplier, IWB. The number of power points in the CCB is currently being increased and the sockets being made easier for our guests to find.
Language of shape
“The CCB and Intertime have concluded a cooperation agreement for the benefit of our guests. The Intertime furniture with its clear, timeless language of shape, fits in perfectly with our open environment drenched in light", explains managing director Jonas Scharf. New clusters of seats from the innovative Swiss manufacturer have been positioned throughout the building and can be individually arranged for any occasion. Lukas Weibel, one of Intertime’s joint proprietors, adds that “we are pleased to be able to present our upholstered furniture, with its synthesis of well-being, individualism and stylish design, to a broad international public in the CCB".
